The Weimaraner
Group I Sporting Dogs
Dogs 24-27 inches, 55-80lbs
Bitches 22-25 inches, 50-65 lbs

Often reference to as the “Grey Ghost” because of their sleek grey coat, the Weimaraner is a medium sized, graceful and aristocratic looking dog with a soft expression.  They are athletic, well muscled with clean lines and their movement should be driving but effortless.  The breed is built to hunt and exhibits alertness, balance and endurance.  Weimaraners should display a temperament that is keen, fearless, friendly, protective, and obedient.  Their personality is a complex mix of the aloof aristocrat and a friendly clown.  While Weimaraners may appear aloof and self-assured, they are better described as clever, demanding, devoted, cuddly, obedient, stubborn, loving and expressive.  As powerful working dogs, Weimaraners are skilled hunters with high energy and stamina, which benefit from regular, vigorous exercise and mental stimulation, to ensure they are biddable in the home.
