What a 2009 we have had at Shadowpoint! We finished out the year with a new champion of our own to add to a busy year in the field!

NEWS from the Field...
Through and through, this is where our passion is - in the field. There is nothing we love more than watching these dogs do what they were bred to do - hunt and hunt well and hunt hard. We have had a very successful training and testing 2009 year including qualifying for a 2009 NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeder's Award. Now into early fall, we settle into hunting season - this is truly what our dogs do best. 2010 holds a few goals for the Shadowpoint gang. Symon, Faye, Juno and Briggs (Mattie x Baron 2009 litter) will continue their training and testing with both their NAVHDA UT and CKC FD titles. Mattie, proud mother of this group, will train for her NAVHDA UT. And, we might just see her test alongside one or two of her pups testing at this level as well! Some of our newest Shadowpoint’s additions from our spring 2009 breedings are well into their field training preparing for their NAVHDA NA and CKC FDJ titles next spring. Isis (Venus x Storm), at 6 months old, has obtained her first leg of her CKC FDJ title. We would like to extend much thanks our puppy people for their continued commitment to these dogs through training, testing and hunting. We are committed to our vision of preserving the versatility of this exceptional hunting breed by producing "dogs that are bred and trained to dependably hunt and point game, to retrieve on both land and water, and to track wounded game on both on land and water".
